The global outlook: As good as it gets?

Mike Jakeman will present The EIU's forecasts for the world economy. Global growth is finally accelerating and policymakers are beginning to look at normalizing monetary conditions. But could political, geopolitical or other risks derail the global recovery? Is China heading for a slowdown and could Brexit be Europe's undoing? Where are the world's economic bright spots? And just how worried should we be about North Korea? We give our recommendations on managing the opportunities and risks for firms doing business across borders.

Mike Jakeman is the global economist on The Economist Intelligence Unit's global forecasting team. He has a particular focus on the economics and politics of the US and Canada. He writes regular analysis on the biggest issues that shape the EIU's forecasts and speaks frequently to the international media. He is a regular moderator and presenter at Economist Conferences in Europe, America and Asia. To read about Mr. Jakeman, please see his full biography.

**Due to the proprietary nature of the presentation, this event is in-person only.**
