Please join us for a presentation on the Economist Intelligence Unit’s Global Economic Outlook.

The presentation will cover:

  • An overview of the Economist Intelligence Unit's five-year forecasts for key commodities and key global economies, with a focus on the US, China and Europe.
  • An assessment of economic prospects for the biggest and fastest growing emerging markets 
  • A spotlight on Latin America: an assessment of the regional's economic recovery, best and worst performers, biggest challenges, and policy priorities, including fiscal adjustment, structural reform, and trade integration. 
  • A discussion of the Economist Intelligence Unit's current global risk scenarios, ranked by likelihood and potential impact.

Fiona Mackie is Regional Editor for Latin America at The Economist Intelligence Unit, managing a team of analysts working on the region. Ms. Mackie specializes in emerging markets, financial services, sovereign credit/risk, and trade.

HCHB is easily accessible from two metro stations, Federal Triangle & Metro Center.

PLEASE PLAN TO ARRIVE EARLY. It usually takes several minutes to get through security and about five minutes to get to the library from the employee entrance. The closest entrance to the library is on the corner of 14th & Pennsylvania Ave. Check in at that entrance with the guards, then follow the red signs to the Commerce Research Library.
