Please join our Bloomberg Representative, Rob Crampton, for a Terminal training that focuses on foreign acquisitions of US Companies. Hwill use Westinghouse Electric as an example given the coverage it has received in the news. Anyone who works in CFIUS or FOCI would find interest in these tools.

This presentation will discuss:

  • How Bloomberg can be used to monitor foreign acquisitions of US companies 
  • Ways to see Merger & Acquisition analytics (breakdown by region/sector, etc) 
  • Get notified about M&A rumors in the news and see specific information about companies that have been acquired.

New to Bloomberg? 

The Bloomberg Terminal is a dedicated computer located in the Commerce Research Library, HCHB Room 1894.  The Terminal has current and historical data on more than 5 million commodities, currencies, bonds, equities, and funds.  It also provides company profiles, financial statements, trade and economic data, analysts’ forecasts, mergers & acquisitions, foreign exchange, and in-depth news on a variety of global topics.  Bloomberg Law and Bloomberg News are also included on the terminal.

Visiting the Library for the first time?

The Commerce Research Library has two entrances and is located in the northwest corner of the building on the 1st floor, directly below the gym. The entrance at Room 1894 can be accessed via the 8th corridor elevator at the north end of the building. The second entrance at Room 1984 can be accessed from the 6th corridor elevator.
