The OGC Professional Development Committee’s will hold its next professional development discussion on Friday, April 28 at noon in the Commerce Research Library.  The discussion will focus on how to get better at predicting future events, with a review of the book 2015 book Superforecasting serving as a starting point for the discussion. With this discussion, we hope to cover questions such as:

 *   How good are lawyers at making predictions regarding the outcomes of legal matters they handle?
 *   What methods make people better forecasters of future events, and how can those methods be applied in the legal context?
 *   How does the ability to make reliable forecasts affect the counsel that lawyers give to their agency clients?

Come ready to share your thoughts on the article and hear from others who have read it. As an added inducement to join us, there also will be treats.

Please contact Levi Jones at 2-4667 or ljones2@doc.gov  if you have any questions.

Best,
The Professional Development Committee
